The preference is written only after a visitor makes a choice. It uses Secure, SameSite=Lax and Path=/.
Optional Analytics storage
If Analytics is accepted, the component loads Google Analytics measurement ID G-RQ41HY9NC3. If the choice is unknown or rejected, GA4 remains unloaded and no Google Analytics request is made.
After acceptance, accessible cookies with names such as _ga, _ga_*, _gid or _gat* may be set. The component recognises those name patterns and clears accessible matches on withdrawal. This clearing list is not a statement that every listed cookie is always set.
Exact GA browser-cookie names and lifetimes have not been independently observed on the staged post-integration site. GA4 property retention is configured to 2 months for event data and 14 months for user data, with reset on new activity enabled; those property-retention settings are separate from browser-cookie lifetimes.
Advertising storage
The component keeps ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied. No advertising-cookie purpose is claimed.
Accept, reject or change
Accept analytics permits the component to load GA4. Reject analytics keeps it unloaded. Both choices are remembered by the necessary preference.
Withdrawal
Changing accepted to rejected updates Analytics consent to denied, clears accessible matching GA cookies, stores rejection and reloads into a state where GA4 does not load. Cookies that are not accessible to first-party JavaScript cannot be cleared by this component.
